Usually go here when I crave HK-style comfort food and every visit is a completely different order haha! That's just how large and accommodating their menu really is.

    What I ordered:
    - Baked rice with chicken in black pepper sauce
    - Baked rice with fried pork chop in cream sauce
    - HK iced milk tea
    - HK iced lemon tea

Wanted to try their baked rice dishes to compare to other nearby restaurants, I got chicken in black pepper sauce. Definitely no comparison to the equivalent at Woodstone Eatery, but their portion sizes are insane and very cheap (could feed at least 3 ppl). Chicken was very moist and flavour wasn't bad, but this is a dish you typically order to try and never order again. I was never a fan of their cream sauce baked dishes but the pork chop was very tasty and crispy.

Drinks are always made well although this time I had to add more sugar myself. I am not an overly sweet eater but the sweetness was next to nothing this visit.

Overall still a go-to for quick, cheap HK-style brunches and they continuously add new menu items to keep up with latest trends (including dirty milk tea) so you never know what you will end up ordering going in!

Came here on a Saturday morning and was promptly seated.  Around 8:30 am, there isn't a lot of people which is great.  They have lots of value sets for breakfast.

I ordered the satay beef instant noodle soup.  The soup broth was wonderful and spicy, the beef had great satay flavour. The only downside to this dish was the noodle itself.  Whatever brand they use in these noodles do not give you a good noodle texture, and it's not because it's overcooked... no no no, far be it over cooked or even undercooked... the texture is just not very good.

The cold milk tea was delicious.  The right amount of sweetness and strong tea flavour.

Another person in my party of 3 had the eggs and sausage set.  It came with toast (with condensed milk, yum) and 3 sausages.  Nothing special about this dish other than the fact that it took them 20 minutes to bring sunny side eggs and sausage to the table.  It came when we pretty much finished the noodle soups.

Overall, nothing amazing.  There's lots of opportunities for improvement but this is a great place for milk tea!

The teriyaki chicken chop here was not bad, but the so-called steaks were as thin as sliced beef used for stir frying purpose.

The food quality here is pretty average but more pricy than other HK afternoon tea places.

When HK style cafes meet chain restaurants... Phoenix. This location was a better experience than the McCowan one, but that might because they've got some new offerings that weren't around when I was at the other. This includes steak rice bowls and pineapple bun sandwiches! The Hainanese Chicken remains a solid option

What We Got: luncheon meat pineapple sandwich, satay beef pineapple bun, Hainanese chicken plate, grilled steak rice bowl
What We Liked: pretty much all of it was solid
What We Didn't: I mean, prices were a little high for what it was, but not enough to complain

Yikes. Service at this place was abysmal. What saved them from a 0% tip was the nicer manager at the end. But our main server was mostly absent, rude in taking our orders, carelessly threw plates and cutlery on our table, and took down the wrong order.

As to the food, its overpriced for what they serve. They use the cheapest quality ingredients, though this is typical of hong kong style cafes. The hk tea was good though.

    2 stars out of 5.
